Raven

Gender: Female

Date of Birth: February 21, 2024

Breed: Shepherd Mix

Kennel Training: Raven is fully kennel trained and goes in when asked if you need to leave the house. She prefers to sleep near her humans at night but could easily be trained to sleep in her kennel overnight.

Housing Training: Raven is fully house trained and will go sit by the door when she needs to go out.

Personality: if you’re looking for a companion that has a fun, sassy personality then look no further! Raven is a sweet, cuddly, spirited pupper who wants nothing more than spend time with her humans and enjoy life. She’s extremely smart and motivated and catches on quickly to learning new tricks! She loves spending time outside playing in the snow and is always up for some play time or a short walk. As our resident tripod she requires some daily stretching and physio, which she is fully accustomed to and happily does for a treat and some belly rubs. Raven would make a great addition to any family looking for a loyal companion. She does well with other dogs and children and has only had small interactions with cats, but she did learn her place quickly with them.

Medical: Fully vaccinated, dewormed, hind leg amputation. (Spay has been booked for her.)
Medical Note: Raven came into care around two months of age, after being attacked by other dogs. Hind leg amputation was performed as there was no saving her leg. After going through growth spurts, Raven’s spine started to curve and she was struggling to keep her back end up. After extensive rehab, she has been given the all clear for adoption. Due to the complications, Raven will need regular rehab visits to help her stay strong and improve quality of life and exercises done st home.
As from our vet clinic: “As with all tripawds, we recommend regular rehab care/ management. For her specifically, our goals are to maintain her current comfort, function, balance and mobility PLUS preventative care (laser/ acu and traction) of her low back. Her low back is at risk for pain/ compression and disc disease due to the position that her pelvis currently is like.

Adoption Fee: $350.00 at the time of adoption; $100.00 can be returned or donated once fixed according to contract standards
