Application
The first step in adopting a dog from us is to fill out the online adoption application form. After we receive the application, it will be looked over by our adoption coordinator. We do not respond to general applications, so make sure you have the name/s of the dogs you are applying for. We do accept applications for people who live out of town or province!
PLEASE NOTE: Our replies often end up in junk mail. Please continue to check your junk mail for a reply

Trial
Once we have approved the application for adoption, we set up a three day trial! The trial takes place in your home and allows one of the directors to observe how comfortable the dog is in your environment, as well as how well all household members interact with the dog! We do a home check at the same time, to ensure the environment is safe and fit for a new furry friend! The dog will then stay for a 3 day trial and we will see how they adjust to life in your home before signing the adoption contract! The rescue will provide you with all supplies needed for the trial.
If you live out of town/province and are approved, you will be required to pick up the dog within three days. You will need to send current photos of your house to the adoption coordinator before pick up. At the time of the pick up you will need to sign the contract and pay the $350 fee. We can only provide food in this situation, so you will need a leash and collar etc for the trial period. If things do not work out, you will have to the bring the dog back right away and you will be refunded the $350.

Adoption
The adoption consists of signing the contract, paying the $350 fee and giving back the supplies that came with the dog. You need to have all your own supplies by the time you sign the contract. You must have the full adoption fee at the time of the adoption and the adoption will not be delayed if you do not have the fee. Being financially stable is a huge part of owning any animal. A puppy will cost you around $1000 in the first year, this is supplies, vetting and getting the dog spayed/neutered. If you have any further questions about our adoption process, check out our FAQ Page. If the question you have isn’t there, Contact Us!
