Kennel Training: Ebony isn’t kenneled, she does extremely well outside of a kennel during the day. I’m sure she would become accustomed to it though!
House Training: Yes 100%
Personality: Ebony is SUCH a sweet girl. She a gentle soul who wants nothing but positive attention from her people. She wants to be where you are at all times! She has sooo much love to give you. Sometimes her excitement for you gets to be too much and she’s jump up at you but we are working hard to stopping that habit and only getting attention when all 4 paws are on the floor.
Her leash walking skills are currently not great as I am sure she’s never been on one before. She is extremely curious and has a tendency to pull hard. She gets worked up when she sees other animals & people and can have a hard time readjusting again. We walk her on a harness for more control and she is slowly improving. She will need someone who is patient & will guide her gently. Shorter structured walks would be ideal to start.
She plays super well with the younger dog in the house and respects the senior dog in the house by staying away from her. She loves to run around the yard and chase her foster sister! She doesn’t really play with toys but that could change in the future.
She knows sit, is learning lay down. She knows “wait” before eating. She is learning “wait” while we stop on walks and “ok” to release her from the wait position.
Ebony will absolutely melt your heart with her big beautiful eyes and super sweet demeanour. She’s the perfect medium sized girl for someone who is looking for pure love!
Good with dogs: Yes, she integrated very easily into her foster home with two adult dogs.
Good with cats: Yes, fostered with two and had no issues.
